How It Works

Encrypt Locally
Your browser generates an AES-256 key, encrypts your note and files using Box ID + 4-digit PIN. Zero plaintext leaves your device.
Upload Encrypted Data
Only encrypted data reaches to server. A unique Box ID is generated to route retrieval. Server never sees your data and PIN.
Decrypt Data in Browser
The receiver enters the Box ID + 4-digit PIN. The server verifies the PIN hash, then the browser downloads and decrypts the data locally. The server never sees the key.

Q.How do I send files anonymously?
Simply drop your files into the box, set a 4-digit PIN, and share the Box ID. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details, ensuring 100% anonymous file sharing.
Q.Is temporary file sharing secure?
Yes. Every file and note is encrypted locally in your browser using AES-256-GCM before it ever touches the network. The AES key is derived from your PIN, which never leaves your device.
Q.What happens to my files after 10 minutes?
Exactly 10 minutes after you seal a box, the files and notes are physically and permanently wiped from our cloud storage. No backups are kept.
Q.Do I need an account to use 10minbox?
No! 10minbox is a zero-login service. There are no accounts to create, passwords to remember, or subscriptions to manage. It is completely free and frictionless.
Q.Do you keep logs of my IP or activity?
We do not log IP addresses or transfer metadata. Because there are no accounts, we couldn't track you even if we wanted to. This is a zero-knowledge, zero-trace service.
Q.What is the maximum file size?
You can currently upload any combination of files up to a total size of 50MB per box.
Q.Can I send password-protected files?
Yes. You can set a PIN code of 4 digits to encrypt the files. Anyone who wants to download the files must enter the same PIN.
Q.What happens if I close the browser before downloading?
The files will be automatically deleted from the server after 10 minutes. Make sure to download the files before the time expires.
Q.Can I use this as a Privnote alternative to send passwords?
Yes! Our Secure Note feature encrypts your text directly in your browser. It is perfect for sharing API keys, passwords, or confidential messages. Once the 10 minutes are up, the note will be destroyed.
